Rafael van der Vaart, a former Tottenham Hotspur player, has pushed his old team to recruit Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech.
Ziyech, a Moroccan international, is unsatisfied at Chelsea, according to Van der Vaart, who also thinks he will thrive at Tottenham.
Ziyech arrived at Chelsea from Ajax in 2020, but hasn’t been able to secure a spot in the first squad.
In the most recent January transfer window, the 29-year-old was unsuccessful in getting a transfer away from Chelsea to join Paris Saint-Germain.
There are a few missing pieces, according to Van der Vaart, who was speaking on Ladbrokes: Fanzone. I’ve long claimed that Tottenham lacks a traditional number 10.
“They are definitely lacking something in that region of number 10, and I believe Hakim Ziyech is the solution.
“He is currently not happy at Chelsea, and I am a big fan of his. If Tottenham were to bring him in, their problems are solved. I really don’t think they need much more.”
